My Journey in Health, Fitness, and Alternative Therapy
From a young age, my upbringing revolved around health and well-being. Since the age of nine, I have consumed homemade herbal remedies designed to enhance my physical strength and mental clarity. My grandfather, a skilled herbalist (Hakim), used his knowledge to support my development, instilling in me a deep respect for natural healing and peak performance.
As I entered my teenage years, my passion for fitness grew. I dedicated myself to sports and rigorous training, always striving to be the best and fittest version of myself. At 18, I was introduced to Thai boxing by Mick Mallaney, a pivotal moment that set me on the path to becoming a competitive fighter. After becoming the first fighter to represent Whicker Camp Gym* in a professional tournament, I progressed in my journey and trained under Andy Marlow, with whom I fought for—and won—the 1993 British Super Bantamweight Thai/Kickboxing Title.
Throughout my career, I had the privilege of training with world-class coaches, each of whom played a crucial role in shaping my development:
– Brendan Ingle
– Howard Rainey
– Mick Mallaney
– Andy Marlow
These legendary trainers have coached world champions and helped people of all backgrounds and ages improve their lives—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Their dedication, love, and compassion continue to inspire, creating a positive impact through a wholehearted approach to training and personal growth.
As I progressed in my journey, I sought ways to enhance recovery and optimize performance. In 2011, I experienced Hijama (cupping therapy) for the first time. The immediate benefits I felt sparked my curiosity about this ancient healing practice. Eager to deepen my understanding, I became a student of a renowned teacher and trained as a certified Hijama therapist. This experience marked a turning point, reinforcing my belief in holistic health and inspiring me to help others transform their well-being.
Today, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and experience, guiding individuals on their journey to better health and peak physical performance.

Welcome! I’m Afzal, a dedicated self-care educator, nutrition expert and wellness coach who believes that true health comes from building strong, sustainable habits—one block at a time. My approach is rooted in the understanding that habits are like building blocks: the good ones form a solid, lasting foundation for a vibrant life, while poor habits are like blocks of sand—temporary, unstable, and bound to crumble when tested.
With a deep passion for nutrition, holistic wellness, and self-care, I work with individuals to create a structure of healthy habits that support not just physical health but emotional and mental well-being too. Through practical guidance and personalized coaching, I help you lay down the building blocks of a strong foundation, guiding you toward a lifestyle that’s built to last.
Whether it’s improving your diet, incorporating mindful movement, or making time for daily self-care, my goal is to help you design a life that’s rooted in balance, consistency, and joy. Let’s work together to transform your habits, so you can thrive in a way that feels sustainable and true to who you are.
Ready to start building a stronger, healthier foundation? Let’s connect and take the first step toward a more empowered you.

Mrs. Pastora M. - Holistic Healing Practitioner | Educator & Arts
Rooted in the rich traditions of Spanish holistic healing, my journey has been one of dedication, learning, and service. I have spent years mastering traditional Spanish massage techniques using natural, blended oils—practices that have been passed down through generations. By integrating these time-honored methods with Hijamah (cupping therapy), I offer a deeply therapeutic and rejuvenating experience tailored to the unique needs of the women I serve.
My Journey & Expertise
My path to holistic healing began with a deep passion for natural wellness and traditional therapies. In September 2018, I became a certified Hijamah practitioner through the *Hijama & Prophetic Medicine Institute* in Uxbridge Road, London. Since then, I have traveled extensively, working with women across North Africa and beyond. These experiences have deepened my understanding of holistic well-being, allowing me to offer personalized healing sessions that nurture both physical and emotional wellness.
Alongside my healing practice, I am also dedicated to education and creative expression. I support sisters from migrant communities and women in situations of vulnerability in developing their reading and handwriting skills. As an experienced reading and handwriting instructor from Spain, I carried out this work for seven years before continuing it in my current community. Additionally, I deliver arts and painting workshops for young people (ages 12 to 21, in age-appropriate groups) and adults. When weather permits, some of these sessions take place outdoors, always adhering to legally required safeguarding measures.
